General Description

Cospas-Sarsat Distress Signal Homer Receiver (further Sarsat Beacon Monitoring System – 406MHz emergency radio beacon monitoring system) is specially designed for 406MHz emergency radio beacon signals detection, reception, verifying, decoding and positioning.

The device is intended to be used by airport services, search and rescue (SAR) teams etc.

Sarsat Beacon Monitoring System is a wide range ground/mobile real-time COSPAS-SARSAT signal decoder designed to locate and verify emergency distress signals sent by any 406MHz ELT in local search area.

Sarsat Beacon Monitoring System provides monitoring and processing of signal from any 406MHz beacon, emergency locator transmitter (ELT), or crash position indicator/automatically deployable emergency locator transmitter (CPI/ADELT).

This system has various potential efficient use fields.

Integrated rescue operation facility

It is important to detect and locate promptly the crashed aircraft and downed aircrew. At present the 406MHz beacons, including those with built-in GPS, are worldwide required to be installed on any aircraft. The 406MHZ beacons are used by land or airborne search and rescue forces to perform immediate rescue operation.

The Sarsat Beacon Monitoring System should be used as integrated rescue operation facility in case of distress to preform it in most immediate and efficient way.

System provides the direct detection and signal location by mobile land teams or airborne rescue forces.

Certification and verify system

The device provides to perform the annual or regular 406MHz ELT operation test procedure by reception, encoding and check of all beacon’s parameters.

Sarsat Beacon Monitoring System allows to verify the ELT on air that clearly demonstrates and confirms its operation.

Airport authorities are able to issue 406MHz ELT operation test certificates by themselves and contribute it to the airport services costs.

Device allows to locate and process all false emergency signals on local area and gives the right to airport authorities to contribute penalty charges for false distress signal in accordance with Cospas-Sarsat recommendations.

406 MHz ELT Tester (Test Set)

406 MHz / 243 MHz / 121.5 MHz ELT TESTER is designed to check the avionics emergency locator transmitters (ELT) operating via COSPAS-SARSAT system. It provides accurate testing in volume of annual or maintenance requirements or fast check after ELT's encoding or installation in accordance with USA (FAA Part 91.207), Canada (CAR 571 Appendix G), Europe (CAA/EuroCAE) requirements.

ELT Tester Mini w/ Wi-Fi

ELT Tester Mini w/ W-Fi is third generation device designed to check the avionics emergency locator transmitters (ELT) operating via COSPAS-SARSAT system. Tester is operating with any mobile phone or desktop PC by means of Wi-Fi connection. It is small and light-weight. The ELT tester provides demodulation and complete decoding of Cospas-Sarsat messages. Test results will be displayed in your mobile phone, tablet or PC. All tests will be stored in internal memory for future use.

BT-611M Beacon Tester

BT-611M Beacon Tester is designed for high accuracy and resolution measurements of the full set of beacon signal parameters to check its compliance with the ones, specified in C/S doc. T.001, T.007. The tester is succesfully used for Cospas-Sarsat type approval certification process. It is professional specified test equipment for beacon manufacturers or test laboratories, service centers.

Beacon Simulator BG-105

Beacon Simulator BG-105 is high-precision simulator of Cospas-Sarsat emergency beacon messages. BG-105 allows to simulate up to five simultaneously operating beacons with messages overlay in time. The generator is intended to operate under PC control to provide the customization of main parameters of each simulated beacon on every of five channels by means of terminal program.

Airborne AIS Test Set
